Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish

I’ve been having a bad 24 hours or so and just before I went to bed last night I wrote it out of me. I will not be publishing what I wrote on this blog but I hoped that I would feel better this morning. I did but not so much. I was anxious and edgy despite knowing I had done the right thing for me. As if the universe, could feel my spirit, someone sent me a youtube video this afternoon. I have seen this video several times over the last 5 years but I always return to it when I feel like I’m starting to lose focus in life.

It is a video of Steve Job’s commencement address at Stanford University in 2005. He mentions 3 key things in his speech, which explains how important it is to live your life, love what you do and never be afraid to reach out for the things you want. The best part of the video that struck me were the words:

“Your time is limited so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice and most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

It is an amazing speech and I want to share it on here today. Enjoy the video and share it with someone else too!

Update: Unfortunately, the video isn't displaying so I'm putting up a link to it instead. Click for Steve Job's 2005 Stanford Commencement Speech
