I’ve been having a tough couple of days. My phone is somewhere out of reach, I’ve been running an event which has stressed me out completely, I’m still out of it over my cousin’s death and I’ve been watching something that mattered so much to me fade slowly away. I’m just blank right now and with some down time, I decided to do what always makes me feel better – write. Last year, I made project–focused resolutions rather than new year resolutions and wrote quarterly updates (Q1 Check & Q3 Check) to keep me on track. Q4 check was due about 3 weeks ago but things have been what they have been. Anyway, here’s where I am:
- I was supposed to finish two of my books. That didn’t happen. I’m working on one exclusively now due to time constraints. It’s going very slowly but it’s going, one word at a time.
- Revamping my website and blog. The blog is a work in progress but the website has been under construction forever. I have all the content written out in bits and pieces. I just need to put it together and post it online. I really should to get on top of that this month.
- I’ve been writing everyday, sometimes only half a page but even if I don’t go very far, at least I’m not stopping.
- Reading everyday has been somewhat of a challenge in addition to everything going on but I try to do it a few times a week at least.
I didn’t get as far as I would have liked but I guess the most important thing is I kept going. Even when it wasn’t going the way I wanted, I kept going. I’m hoping this year will be different. I’ve got a few exciting things on my project-focused plate this year in addition to the above and I’ll be back to write about them as soon as I deal with all the other stuff going on personally.
