I’ve been gone for quite a long time. As usual, it was work. The event season began and things just kept getting tougher and tougher until there was no time to even think about writing. It was really hard for me and at some point, I felt like I’d given up on writing. I was in the middle of this quagmire when I went on a trip to Montreux a few weeks ago. Montreux is a town in Switzerland that has to be the most amazing place I’ve ever been to. The views were just stunning. It was also the first cold country in my life I wasn’t hankering the leave the minute I arrived.
While in Switzerland, the company CSR team recorded a song, Dreaming on the Outside, for the Little Dreams Foundation, which helps young children with talent to live their dreams. I must say I expected the locals to file an emergency petition with the government to have us deported once we started croaking but with Corrine, a fantastic singing coach, we managed to belt out something quite good. The song will go on sale soon and all proceeds will be going to the Little Dreams Foundation. I left Montreux armed with a renewed appreciation of the important things in life and a determination to live my dreams no matter what. You can view a making of video here – Dreaming on the Outside.
